General Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Intermediate level of English or above if English is not your first language
• Genuine love of children and desire to care for them.
• Display responsibility (no criminal convictions)
• Experience in child care preferred (not required)
• Healthy and active life style
• Motivation to live and work with a family in Australia
• Desire to be included as a member of the family and not as a guest or boarder.
• Flexibility and ability to accept cultural differences and a different way of life and ability to see the experience as a way of learning about another culture.
• Open and honest communication between the Au Pair and the family.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Good domestic skills
Conditions:
• Minimum 3 months commitment per family
• Placements in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, and other locations on request
• First aid certificate recommended - Additional costs may apply!
• Au Pair is responsible for his/her working holiday visa, flight, insurances and private expenses

The Au Pair Program includes:

• Air port pickup in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne either by a representative of the company or the Australian family
• Nanny Workshop covering everything you should know about looking after children from newborn to teenagers, activities, family expectations, meeting other au pairs, lunch, comprehensive manual & refreshments (only at Gold Coast, special workshop dates, dates are available approx 4-6 week before workshop)
• Certificate on completion of the Nanny Workshop
• Written reference of your suitability as a child carer and phone reference
• Introduction to selected families and job placement
• Free accommodation with a private bedroom,
• Free meals, 7 days per week
• Pocket money (based on hours worked: 15 h/w from $50, 20 h/wk from $100, 25-30 h/wk $150-180)
• 2 weeks paid holidays per 6 months employment with one family at a time suitable to the Au Pair and family.
• Access to the internet outside of work hours and at a time suitable to the Au Pair and family (if available)
• Placement into Au Pair family prior to arrival or within 1 week after course (no additional cost for accommodation apply)
• 24/7 emergency support (we speak English, German, French, Spanish)
• Meeting Au Pairs from other countries of the world in your region.
